Most of these keypads have a back lit keypad that illuminates when in use. These keypads have embedded LEDs that provide the incandescent lighting. The duration of this lighting can also be programmed. The number of access codes to be stored in the keypad can also be programmed. The modern keypads also continue to work properly in case of a power loss as well. There is no effect on the state as these have a non-volatile memory that remains unaffected during the power loss as well and hence, no data is lost.
