Access Control Keypad And Its Details

We see Automated locking of doors or access gates almost everywhere nowadays. Everyone from security professionals, homeowners, big companies like NASA are also using access control keypads. These are very useful and minimize the security check period greatly and also, reduce the manpower required for the process.

Most of the access systems provide a large number as high as 6,000 of users to be added at a time. Such systems come with inbuilt access control keypad that allow the addition and deletion of users from the system.

These access control systems are heavy-duty rugged keypads that can be programmed to meet the requirements. These can be programmed to do even more than one function at a time. Some keypads are programmed in such a way that they can perform as many functions as twenty six at a time and  to access the device the user has to enter a secret code, that is already programmed to do. On entering the correct code, the user is given the access to the device or granted the permission to enter and this whole process takes only less than ten seconds to complete.

The components of such keypads can include Metal keypad which are provided for safety and ruggedness and power for them can be provided by POE Injector.
Some advantages of such access control keypad are :

    Reduces manpower requirements and can do the work of many persons at a time
    Prevents a lot of security problems and the total time spent in the security checks is greatly reduced
    Assigns unique IDs to each of employee and helps to reduce employee problems
    Such systems are completely secure and cannot be tampered with from outside
    Can be customized and used to serve another function when one function is finished
    These are vandal resistant and can be used in the harsh environments.
    Can be used for military and commercial applications.

These are similar to Network keypad as they are connected to a centralized security network.
